Religious School Parents

Temple Beth Am is fortunate to have committed and involved parents who help support our Religious School by being involved with the Religious School Board, active with BAPA (Beth Am Parents Association), and willing to volunteer to help us meet our goals.

Lifelong Learning and Community Involvement

Temple Beth Am has many opportunities for Lifelong Learning. Some ways to be active and involved in the temple community are Social Action, Worship and Life Cycle, Lifelong Learning, Congregant Support, Volunteer Opportunities, Music & Arts, Library, and Youth. Contact Alexis Kort, our Director of Community Engagement, at 206-525-0915 x210 for more information.

Religious School Committee

Our Religious School Committee sets policy and provides guidance for our Religious School. It is responsible for supporting the staff, faculty, and programs of the Religious School, and acting as a conduit for parent input and feedback.

The Religious School Committee meets on the second Wednesday of every month at 7:00 PM. All parents are welcome to attend Religious School Committee meetings. If you are interested in attending a meeting or getting more information, please contact our Religious School Committee Chair, Mark Miller

Religious School Board's Mission Statement, Vision, and Core Values.

Beth Am Parents Association (BAPA)

When you have a child in our Religious School, you are a member of the Beth Am Parents Association (BAPA). Religious School is at its best when it connects families – to the temple and to each other! To foster great family connections, we create programs that bring families together and provide opportunities for parents and children to form relationships that extend beyond the synagogue and Religious School. Past BAPA-sponsored activities include community-building events for parents such as schmoozes during Religious School hours, potluck Shabbat dinners, BAPA-sponsored parent forums, and Mitzvah Day every spring.

We hope BAPA gives you and your family the opportunity to get to know other Beth Am families and gain a greater sense of community!
